This is Tower Grove Park. If you navigate around the park you notice that there are also other smaller parks scattered around it. The smaller parks are not that far away. Tower Grove park is like a large loop. It's a great place for recreational activities, such as running, and playing games on the lawn, tennis courts, etc. If you zoom in close enough, you notice that it has various entrances and winding paths, which allow people from various neighborhoods to go to the park.

Jacobs is talking about how sidewalks are very good for a city.  People feel comfortable when there is a lively place with many people.  Jacobs argues that sidewalks are safe and lively and where they lead to plays a role in how much people use them.

This is an image of downtown St. Louis where there is a great deal of people.  I looked at one specific restaurant called Harris's that offers lunch mostly to the business crowd.  There are somewhere around 100 restaurantes in this area as well as a large number of bars and coctail llunges.  AS you look at the map you can see there are a large number of corners and small roads in the area.
